July 2022 Virtual Placement Pilot Program 

The University of the West Indies – Cave Hill Campus

MACLead’s Pilot Program took place from July to August 2022. McMaster students participated in a virtual exchange with the University of West Indies Cave Hill Campus. During the exchange the McMaster Students collaborated with UWI students to create an informational brochure based on the data UWI students collected from their Student-led survey of sugar cane fields in Barbados.

Winter 2023 Virtual Placement Program

University for Development Studies

McMaster students will complete a three-week virtual placement in partnership with the
University for Development Studies (UDS) in Ghana. Participants of the program will engage in
synchronous and asynchronous learning along with McMaster and UDS students. At the end of
the virtual placement, McMaster and UDS students will receive a Certificate of Participation.
